Income is definitely something to consider when choosing a career. Civil engineers earn a yearly median income of $78,000, while pharmacists earn a yearly median income of approximately $112,000. However, there is more schooling involved with becoming a pharmacist. Pharmacists must earn a four-year professional degree in addition to a bachelor’s degree, and civil engineers need to have only a four-year bachelor’s degree. Because I enjoy school and would like to earn more money, I am leaning more heavily toward becoming a pharmacist.
