The water retains more heat than the land and it takes more time to get warmer as well as requires time to cool down. The temperature of the water increases considerably as compared to the land. It gets evaporated and the wind blowing above the water body surface remains at the higher pressure over the water body and lower pressure over the land. This results in the cause of sea breeze. The strength of the sea breeze depends upon the difference of temperature between the land and the water body.
