1.6.3. Recommend TWO practical strategies that could be implemented by the community to ensure that the anti-substance abuse
campaigns are effective.

To mount effective anti-substance abuse campaigns, we must implement the following strategies:

1. Show good examples.  Society must agree that it is presently misleading its students.  It must henceforth resolve to live by example.  "Actions, they say, speak louder than words."  When society stops all forms and manners of abuse, including discrimination of fellow human beings, then it is ready to campaign for the youth to end substance abuse.  As I have explained elsewhere, substance abuse starts in the womb and from the kitchen.  It continues with our relationships with one another.  As we perpetuate abuses in various ways, it becomes difficult to mount successful campaigns against substance abuse, and vice versa.

2. Rediscover our Savior Jesus Christ and His Father.  We cannot keep God away from human affairs.  We must enthrone ethics in our hearts, practice morality in our homes, organizations, and streets, and reintroduce religious instructions into the schools.  "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."  Lack of knowledge leads to the perishing of the society, willy nilly.  The best source of knowledge is the creator of wisdom.  We must embrace Him into our lives and activities.  Fulfilling our citizenship responsibilities should be accompanied with our performance of our divine responsibilities.  We can re-examine our past to learn where we have gone wrong and make amends.

Explanation:

To succeed, anti-substance abuse must have a holistically defined purpose, which must be the promotion of primary prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.  Primary prevention efforts are the most important.
