Public Relations has nothing to do with meeting and talking with people. The goal of Public Relations is to connect the media and the public to a business or organization. Someone who works in the Public Relations department has the job of making sure a certain company or business looks good to the public, media and press. Notice the 'relations' in Public Relations. It's all about the impact and the 'looking good' the company or business has on the outside world. When a business hired a Public Relations Manager, their job is to take the good side of the company, and show it off. Public Relations is not about sitting and meeting people. That is the opposite of the job.
