How did greek scientists change the way people viewed and understood the natural world around them? how did common greeks explain natural events prior to scientific explanations?

Greek scientists – mostly mathematicians, philosofers, biologist, physicists –changed the way people viewed and understood the natural world around them starting from the simple observation and measurement of the objetcts around them. After that, their observations arrived to experimentation and analysis. This was the beginning of scientific thinking. As a consecuence, they were able to explain phenomena around them with rational and logical descriptions.  Before that, common Greeks needed mitilogy and supernatural arguments to  explain natural events and facts.
