Why is disagreement among scientists important to the progress of science? facing disagreement forces scientists to prove their theories more conclusively. disagreement proves that no scientific theories are valid. a scientific model is not useful unless every scientist agrees it is perfect. scientists do not learn new information when their hypothesis is proven to be incorrect.
