6.8 - 4.2b = 5.6b - 3  (subtract 6.8 from each side)

- 4.2b = 5.6b - 3 - 6.8 

- 4.2b = 5.6b - 9.8  (subtract 5.8b from each side)

- 4.2b - 5.6b = - 9.8

- 9.8b = -9.8          (divide - 9.8 from each side)

b = -9.8/-9.8

b = 1

The answer is 1
