Mark an arbitrary point D on AB and draw a line, CD, through C and D. Draw a circle centered at D. Make the circle large enough so it intersects AB through two points. Label the point of intersection closest to point B as point E. The circle intersects CD through two points. Choose the point of intersection closest to point C and label it point F. Draw EF. Draw another circle centered at C with the same radius as the previous circle. This new circle intersects CD at two points. Label the point of intersection that is farthest from D as G. Draw a circle centered at G with a radius equal to EF. Label the point where this circle intersects the circle centered at C in the interior of ∠BDG as point H. Draw CH. Measure the slopes of CH and AB to verify that they are parallel. By default, the GeoGebra geometry tool rounds decimals to the hundredths place. If you see a small discrepancy in the slopes of CH and AB rounding could be the underlying reason. Take a screenshot of your work, and paste it below.
