First you have to put them in order from least to greatest. so

-52, -36, -36, -27, -23, - 17, -9, -8

mean: add all the numbers and divide them by 8(the total amounts)
mean: -208/8
mean: -26

median: number in the middle of a series
*since there is an even amount of numbers you have to get the two numbers that are in the middle, add them, and then divide them by 2.
median: -27 + (-23)
median:-50/2
median: -25

mode: number that appears most often or is repeated
mode: -36

range: difference between the lowest and highest value
range: -52 - (-8)
range: -44
