Daniel is trying to decide whether to buy a car or a truck. The truck he is considering will cost him $250 a month in loan payments, and it gets 20 miles per gallon in gas mileage. The car will cost $340 a month in loan
payments, but it gets 35 miles per gallon in gas mileage. Daniel estimates that he will pay $4.20 per gallon for
gas. This means that the monthly cost to drive the truck z miles will be y = 4.20|20+ 250. The total monthly
cost to drive the car a miles will be y = 4.20/35 + +340.

1. at how many miles do the car and truck cost the same to operate? miles.

2. If Daniel drives more than 1500 miles, which will be cheaper? truck or car??

3. if Daniel drives fewer than 900 miles, which will be cheaper?? car or truck???
