Number plates in Victoria used to have three letters followed by three digits (e. g.YAS 233). They recently changed to a non-zero digit (1 - 9) followed by two letters
then another non-zero digit followed by another two letters (e. g. 1AA 7WS). The
government claims that this will give them twice as many distinct number plates. Is
this true?
