Recall your studies of geometry (or another math course) and algebra. choose one that you think is better. define what you mean by better, and explain your choice. better could mean, for example, more interesting, more challenging, more accessible, more abstract, or more tangible.

It 's totally my opinion others may vary. Being a middle school student  if you are good with numbers, you enjoy doing calculations, or love to see what property number follows you are definitely going to enjoy algebra.

There are other situations also in which you will love algebra. Human started their life from numbers i.e from Natural numbers,Whole numbers, integers, Rational numbers, Then Real numbers.So, in all this you will first learn the properties of these numbers and then their relation with real life. So if you love how numbers have grown as humans have grown You are definitely going to enjoy algebra.

Now come to geometry.Let be little bit logical.Primitive humans used to reside in big groups.They used to dwell together, eat, sleep and hunt together. But as Evolution happened from being joint they started residing in nuclear . So earlier from many hectares of land , the land was divided into many different shapes.So by this way Geometry came into consideration.To solve the problems many shapes were made by primitive humans using wood or stone.So in geometry we learn about these shapes and how to find  areas of different fields which occur due to separation of humans ,and volume and area  of shapes due to the reason that how to solve the problems between them so that there should be no dispute between them.

It totally depends on you what you love to do because i think neither algebra nor geometry is easier. Just practice ,practice, practice..you will find everything is easy and after some time you will find that every branch of  Mathematics is interesting,challenging,palatable.
