Five-year-old Matthew opened a gate and walked into his neighbors' yard to play with their dog, a pit bull name BEAST. The dog- which had never attacked anyone before- attacked Matthew, badly injuring his leg. Beast wasn't kept in the house or in a pen in the yard, but the yard was fenced. Beast's owner, Jill, says the dog had been affectionate with family members and had never shown any serious dangerous tendencies. What arguments would you make for Matthews' parents?
