The civil rights act allowed African Americans equal access to restaurants, transportation, and other facilities. It also allowed blacks and woman to work in places that they couldn’t before. It allowed African Americans to have equal education. All though it took a while for the segragation to completely end, this was certainly the beginning of it that would lead to something great.
