The Treaty of Versailles, concluded on June 28, 1919, was a peace treaty signed by European countries after the outbreak of World War I in 1918. In this Treaty, Germany accepted blame for the World War, pledging to meet a number of political, fiscal, and military obligations.

The Treaty of Versailles cannot be considered a fair peace treaty because nations put much of the war's economic harm on Germany. And if another government was to blame for the conflict, it would be impossible for one country to shoulder all costs.

As a result, it is concluded that the Treaty of Versailles was not a suitable treaty to seal peace since the Powers were more concerned with reimbursing the material costs of war than with keeping peace. This is reinforced by the fact that another world war occurred, with disastrous results.
