Can someone please help me? How does the decision in Meyer v. Nebraska expand the definition of liberty protected by the
Fourteenth Amendment?
It weakened the constitutional right to privacy by making it illegal to speak German.
The decision required federal courts to overturn laws throughout the country that meant to restrict immigrants from practicing their religion or culture.
While speaking German was deemed legal, the teaching of German was not allowed.
