Self-confidence is a person's confidence in their abilities. Everyone has different confidence: some have very little faith in themselves, while others have too much. Poor self-confidence can result in depression, while too much self-confidence can result in arrogance and egoism.  

For example, poor self-confidence may be due to bullying. Often, poor self-confidence is the result of dissatisfaction with one's own body. The dissatisfaction can also be compounded by bullying. But intelligence, wisdom, general knowledge and social life can also cause little self-confidence.

Self-confidence is a characteristic of leaders, since they rely on their actions and ideas when deciding the best for the group they lead. But if this self-confidence does not allow to listen to others or consider options that are not their own, it can be transformed into selfishness and be harmful to both the group and the leader himself.
