So, I'm applying to schools, and my dad had to write an essay about me on one of my applications. He wrote many beautiful things about me, but he also said: "she loves science." Now, that is not true. Science is not for me. I asked him about it, I was being super nice, and then he completely went off on me. Among many things, he said, "I don't want to hear your sh*t" and "Stop trying to sabotage my efforts." Now, I used to have an amazing bond with my dad but over the years, it has crumbled. And now, it's pretty much not worth saving, because he said something he has never said to anyone his life, much less his daughter. After I told him, "no, I really don't like science-" he said "Well, f#ck you!" My question is, is it okay for a parent to say this in this circumstance, and is it ok for him to be mad at me after the whole argument when down (when he was the one that literally said "f#ck you" to his own daughter)?
