1. trust in christ:

according to what we read in the new testament, why did jesus have to die and rise from the dead? what did jesus secure for us through his death and resurrection? how do we receive the benefits of jesus’ death and resurrection? have you trusted in jesus?

2. obedience to god:

if we choose to trust in christ, why should we seek to live in obedience to god? should our motivation for obeying god be love and or fear?

3. growth in holiness:

what does the word “holiness” mean? what does the expression “growth in holiness” suggest about the christian’s life? if becoming like jesus is a process, if we trust in christ, what should we see as we look back over their lives?

4. the fruit of the spirit:

if we trust in christ, the holy spirit will, over time, produce the fruit of the spirit in us. specifically, if we trust in christ, how will the fruit of the spirit affect our relationship with other people?

5. love for other christians:

god loves everyone with unconditional, unrelenting, and unselfish love. god calls everyone who trusts in christ to love others the way he loves everyone. if we love others the way god loves us through jesus, what will we be willing to do for others?

6. positive influence on others:

why are people who trust in christ able to positively influence others?

7. adherence to the tenets of scripture:

why should people who trust in christ use the bible to support their beliefs about god, people, and the world rather than their opinions or the opinions of others?

8. testimony of the holy spirit:

in your opinion, who is god? does your description of god include a reference to love? to what extent does god love you? how does the reality of god’s unconditional, unrelenting, and unselfish love for your affect your relationship with him?
