How can a medical assistant use knowledge of the nervous system to care for a patient with parkinson’s and other neurological disorder

Parkinson's and other neurological disorders are diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord, cranial nerves, peripheral nerves, nerve roots, autonomic nervous system, neuromuscular junction, and muscles. A medical assistants' knowledge of the nervous system--its components, structure and function  will enable him/ her to identify the signs, symptoms of neurological disorders that a patient may experience, allowing him/her to respond to current care needs and anticipate for future care needs of the patient.

the more fit you are, the faster the recovery. your heart rate drops most sharply in the first minute after you stop exercising; it should then fall about 20 beats a minute—a drop of less than 12 beats a minute is considered abnormal. this “recovery heart rate” is measured as part of an exercise stress test.
