1. Why does the temperature decreases with increase in altitude?

I'm pretty sure it's c. extremely gradual but not 100% sure though.

To relate to humans in a relational humanly way. 

Aristotle thought so every portion of the earth tends toward the center until by compression and convergence they form a sphere. travelers going south see southern constellations rise higher above the horizon.~ hope this !
