In this scene, Brutus is camped out with his army, waiting for Cassius to arrive. Brutus worries that Cassius shows signs of a "hot friend cooling," or someone who is growing distant in their friendship. Cassius does arrive with an army, and the first thing he does is accuse Brutus of having done him wrong.
