diary of General Bernardo de Gálvez. It is written in the
third person; Gálvez refers to himself as "the General."
Galvez surrendered.
When he uses "both Generals," he is referring to himself
and General Campbell
The British flag was raised.
The British surrendered.
The firing resumed until three o'clock in the afternoon
when Fort George [the British fort at Pensacola) hoisted Galvez granted all Campbell's proposals

some being granted and others refused. At one o'clock at
night both Generals came to an agreement. ... On the
