There are many reasons why some women rarely participate in sport and physical activity: discrimination - others/males/media devalue female sport and activity. low self-esteem - awareness of image, lack of confidence, embarrassment.When the media does choose to focus on female athletes, they tend to focus more on their appearance and clothing.  

So basically social media tends to talk bad or always point out woman who play football and not only football but many other sports.so this influences them and make their self esteem go low
