The story of the night is about Richard Garay who is gay and lived in Argentina.

Explanation:

The story of the night has been written by an Irish novelist Colm Toibin. The story is an interweave of the personal story of Richard Garay. He was a gay man who lived in Argentina.

Along with him in the movie is an English mother, and the political history of Argentina through the late 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s. It speaks about their life during that time.

edwards uses the phrase "o who can express what the state of a soul in such circumstances is! " in order to illustrate that this type of suffering is unimaginable. the word "express" denoted that the state of a suffering soul is required to be described by any person, but it would not happen because no one can imagine how this suffering is felt.
