Why does wood design have adjustment factors but steel design does not? a)- the wood council chose to be more specific concerning design as opposed to steel. b)- folks who design wood structures typically have more education and are therefore able to design to tighter tolerances. c)- the grain pattern is different in steel as opposed to wood. d)- due to the nature of wood, it has variations in consistency, whereas steel does not.
