Asmall cubical furnace x by x by x cm on the inside is constructed of fireclay brick [k=1.04 w/m·°c] with a wall thickness of 10 cm. the inside of the furnace is maintained at 500°c, and the outside is maintained at 50°c. (a) calculate the side length x of the cubical furnace, if the heat lost through the walls is 8250 kw. (b) plot the graph q-x, i. e. heat lost vs. side length of furnace (c) for what value of x will the heat lost through the walls be equal to 16500 kw? (d) assume that x=50cm. plot the graph q - t, where q is the heat lost through the walls and t is the wall thickness.
