Consider an ideal gas that occupies 1 L in a cylinder with movable piston and under the pressure of 10 atm. If the external pressure of 10 atm comprises 9 atm due to nine pieces of small removeable blocks of equal weights and 1 atm due to atmospheric pressure, calculate the expansion work done by the gas when: (i) the nine blocks are removed from the piston at once
(ii) eight blocks are removed from the piston at once
(iii) eight blocks are removed from the piston in two batches, i. e. four blocks at a time.
