In the paper by Baerga-Ortiz (Week 8 folder) the authors show that the equilibrium constant for the binding of the antibody to thrombin is strongly temperature dependent whereas the equilibrium constant for binding of thrombomodulin is not temperature dependent. Based on what they say in the paper about the contributions of ∆H and ∆S to these different binding events, explain using basic thermodynamic equations why this makes sense (hint, you start by relating the ∆G to the KD)
