Submit your work as a file attachment using the dropbox. The activity is worth 15 points. UNIT 1 ACTIVITY Creating a Flier Part 1: Create an Event Flier Congratulations! Your boss loved the Solar Lamp Brochure and has decided to create a special event where the company will distribute it to potential customers of their stylish lamps. Using the event flier template in Word, create a new document advertising this special event. Within the template, make the following customizations: Since you are going to use the left and right indent tools a lot in this work, you should add them to your Quick Access toolbar, which is an additional toolbar that is displayed above the ribbon. You can do so by simply right clicking on the left and right indent tools in the Paragraph group of the Home Tab, and clicking Add to Quick Access Toolbar. Change the default text so that the event attracts the right kind of people for your solar lamp! Make sure to use the Home Tab to change the font styles, sizes, and alignment of the text to match your event style. When you are finished drafting your flier, use the Zoom tool in the View Tab of the Ribbon to zoom out and get a bird’s eye view of your flier at 50%. How does it look? Take a screenshot while you are in this view, which also shows your customized Quick Access Toolbar. Show that you know how to edit multiple parts of the flier at once by taking a second screenshot of your flier in Split screen mode. Part 2: Save & Share Now, you’ll have to share your file with a number of people to get the job done: Save the file as a Word document for yourself. You can even use this as a basis for your next event flier. Use the Review Tab's Protect feature to restrict editing of your document so that the people you ask for feedback won’t be able to alter your flier. Take a screenshot of this step. Use the Share button to send a link to your file to a friend to give you their honest feedback. You’ll have to sign in and upload your document to Microsoft’s OneDrive in order to do this. Take a screenshot of this step. Export/save the document as a PDF file you can send to the printer after your boss signs off on it. Submit your DOCX and PDF versions of your flier as well as the four screenshots required for the different steps of the Activity. Also, please make sure to keep this file in a location where you can easily access it, as you will need it later in this course.
