3- the gospel of matthew makes many connections with old testment. Look at matthew, chapter 5, the begging of the sermon on the mount. People reading this chapter who are familiar with the old testment would be reminded of which old testment character? (He also taught the law that he recived from God on a mountain; see Exodus, chapters 19-- 20.
