PLEASE HELP
Lily Color Genetics
Orange lilies get their color from two genes,
a gene for yellow pigment and a gene for
pink pigment. Each gene has a dominant
allele and a recessive allele: Y and y for the
yellow gene, P and p for the pink gene.
• When both pigments are expressed, the
flowers appear orange.
• When only one pigment is expressed, the
flowers are either yellow or pink.
• When neither pigment is expressed, the
flowers appear white.
Fill in the correct phenotype (color) for
each genotype in the table.
