Historical records of the trapping and sales of lynx and hare pelts indicate that snowshoe hare populations peaked every seven to ten years and then crashed.
Lynx populations did the same thing, except one year behind the hare
populations. For years, studies have focused solely on these two populations.
However, other factors within the tundra ecosystem are almost certainly involved
in this story. List and explain (thoroughly) at least one other part of the
ecosystem that might affect or be affected by the lynx and hare population
patterns.
