Seven trp- mutants are isolated. All 7 mutants are crossed to see if their progeny grow ( ) or do not grow (-). Based on the results, determine how many genes you have identified, and which mutants are in which gene (genes can be represented with a line and numbers over the line indicate which mutations lie on that gene).
