Guadalajara city is situated in western Mexico and is the capital city of Jalisco. The most important touristic attractions of the city are Hospicio Cabanas.

Cancun city is situated in the southeastern part of Mexico, in the Quintana Roo state. The most famous part about Cancun is that it is the famous destination in Mexico and El Rey is also found here.

The famous Mexican artist known during the Cubist period is Diego Rivera. He was born in 1886 and belonged to several art movements like cubism and muralism. The artist went to San Carlos Academy to study Arts.

The two famous art pieces of Diego are Detroit Industry Murals and The History of Mexico. The painting represented the traditions of Mexico and the cubism period and muralism.

The painter was significant and have greatly depicted the cultural and traditional meaning in his art, and he also got married to Frieda Kahlo.

A Mexican artist that you could research would be Diego Rivera. Diego Rivera was born on December 8, 1886. He died on November 24, 1957. He belonged to several art movements, such as cubism and muralism. Two famous works by this artist are "Sueño de una Tarde Dominical en la Alameda Central" and "The History of Mexico." He is particularly valued in Mexico for his role in muralism, and for his collaborations with many artists of the time. He was also responsible for depicting much of the indigenous culture, traditions and art of Mexico. Personally, I think he was a very significant painter and a cultural icon, both because of his art and because of his marriage to Frida Kahlo.
