To maintain a new word in our vocabulary, we must use it. If we learn the word, but not use it, over time it will disappear from out vocabulary. We often will learn words, but never put them to practice. Using them is a good way to ensure that they not only stay in our vocabulary, but we are able to learn the real meaning of the word and use it like it is meant to be used.
