The Wayuus, or Guajiros, are aborigines from the peninsula of La Guajira, on the Caribbean Sea, who inhabit territories of Colombia and Venezuela, without the people having borders between the two South American countries.

 The Wayuus inhabit the arid peninsula of La Guajira in northern Colombia and northwest of Venezuela, on the Caribbean Sea. It is a region with a warm, dry and inhospitable climate, bathed by the rivers Ranchería (Colombia) and El Limón (Venezuela).
