If I wanted to say that I was nervous about going to an event in Spanish, the word I would use would be "nervioso".

Nervousness is the worry or anxiety that is generated before an event or situation, whether founded or not.

Other words that could be used to describe this feeling in Spanish could be "preocupado", "intranquilo" or "ansioso".
