Using MOSTLY Preterite Reflexive Verbs (despertarse, levantarse, ducharse, secarse, etc.), describe seven (8) things you did recently (aver, anteayer, esta mañana, la semana pasada, etc.)...I
doesn't have to be true. Of the seven (8) things you describe, six (6) of them have to be
REFLEXIVE, using the REFLEXIVE PRONOUN "ME"...Here's my example:
Ayer por la mañana me desperté muy temprano, me levanté, me duché, me seque", me resti, me
cepillé los dientes y me afeité. Miré la tele (CNN) por un rato y me fui de la casa para llegar al
trabajo a tiempo.
What REFLEXIVE VERBS did I use?: despertarse (to wake up); levantarse (to get up); ducharse
(to shower); secarse (to dry off, "c" became "qo" in the vo form of the PRETERITE): vestirse (ta
get dressed); cepillarse (to brush hair, teeth...); afeitarse (to shave); irse (to leave)...
What NON-REFLEXIVE VERBS did I use?: Mirar (to watch, to look at)...
Once again, you don't have to worry about changing stems, but if you use a verb that ends with
CAR, -GAR, or -ZAR, you'll have to change C/QU, G/GU, and Z/C BEFORE ADDING THE E, in
order to maintain the priginal pronunciation... Remember, it takes an 85 to exempt my final
exam... This will be my final “grade add, grade drop" Santa Claus moment...
