When I was a girl, I lived in a very big and old house near the center of the city. In the house, we heard strange noises
at night but we didn't think much about it. One night, I got up to use the restroom. Suddenly, I heard a nolse behind
me. I turned around and saw a shadow that crossed the hallway quickly. I got scared and started screaming. My
parents woke up and came to see what happened. We turned the lights on and started looking for signals of what I
had heard. When we went to the basement, we found a family of cats. They had come into the basement through a
small door that lead to the street. It was a black and white cat and four black and gray kittens. They were still very
small. My parents and I adopted the mother cat and one black kitten. My parents gave the other three little cats to
responsible friends and neighbors who took good care of them.
