The difference between tú and usted.

Tú means "you." It is used for informal things like friends or cousins. For example, if you're telling your friend that she looks pretty, you would say "Tú eres bonita," or "You look pretty."

Usted is "you" but for formal people, like teachers, or bosses. For example, if you're telling your boss that he is amazing, you could say,

"Usted es asombroso."

Note: Tú and Usted, while they both mean "you," actually use different conjugation for verbs, like the verb "ser": Tú eres, vs. Usted es.
