This is right.  

The first sentence is :

A mí, me gusta el gato.

the second sentence is:

usually, when we are talking about plural objects, we put an "s" at the end of the word.

Here is easy to see that the second on is in plural because of "perroS", and when we are talking un plural, the pronoun also needs to be changed and is changed by adding an "s" at the end... "Los perros".

while if this was in the singular, it would be written as:

A mí, me gusta el perro.
