A. Spain- Spain is a south-western country in Europe. It is the second largest country in the continent that borders Portugal, the Mediterranean Sea, France and Andorra. The capital of Spain is Madrid. The primary language spoken in Spain is Spanish; however, Catalan, Galician and Basque are some of the other languages also spoken. 

B. Black Sea- The Black Sea is a sea of the Atlantic Ocean that borders Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia and Turkey. It has an area of approximately 422,000 km² and a depth of approximately 2210 m. The Black Sea has "anoxic" water, which means the sea water lacks oxygen, making it difficult for organisms to survive in it. 

C. Constantinople- Constantinople is the old name for the present-day city, Istanbul (in Turkey). Constantinople has historical relevance since it is named after the emperor Constantine, who abandoned the city the Rome and claimed a new land in Turkey, which he named "New Rome". However, "New Rome" was soon after called Constantinople, named after its founder, Constantine. 

D. Strait of Gibraltar- The Strait of Gibraltar is a narrow strait which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. This strait plays a key role in shipments from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. Several ferries also operate on the Strait of Gibraltar from Morocco to Spain. The Strait of Gibraltar is part of the overseas British territory.

E. Arabia Peninsula- The Arabia Peninsula in West Asian is the peninsula of the Arab people. Saudi Arabia covers four-fifths of the peninsula, and the other countries that are part of it include: Oman, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen and some parts of Iraq.  The Arabian Peninsula plays a major role worldwide due to its abundant supply of natural gas and oil.

F. Mediterranean Sea- This sea is one of the major European Seas. The Mediterranean Sea is located between southern Spain and northern Morocco. It is the largest land bordered sea in the world. The Mediterranean Sea is approximately 2.5 million km² in area and has an approximate depth of 1500 m². It is relatively high in salinity and has fairly consistent tides.

G. Damascus- Damascus is the capital city of Syria. It is known as the oldest and constantly inhabited city in the world. Damascus has a cool-desert climate with dry weather. It is the largest city in Syria, that is approximately 80 km inland from the Mediterranean Sea. Damascus is known to have over 2,000 mosques in it.

H. Mecca- Mecca is a city in Saudi Arabia that is of great significance to the Middle East. It is considered the holiest city in the middle East since it is where Prophet Muhammad was born and the Quran first originated. The world’s largest Mosque, the Grand Mosque or "Masjid al-Haram" is located in Mecca. Due to this, Muslims from all over the world visit Mecca.

I. Medina- Medina is also a city in Saudi Arabia that is considered holy by Islam worshipers. Medina is famous for being the location where Prophet Muhammad relocated to after living in Mecca. Just like Mecca, Medina is a prominent pilgrimage destination for people from all over the world. Medina when translated means “the city of prophet”.

J. Baghdad- Baghdad is the largest city and the capital city of Iraq. Due to its sub-tropic location, Baghdad is considered the hottest city in the world during summers. It is home to several archaeological sites and museums. Baghdad when translated means “the city of peace”. The largest zoo in the Middle East is located in Baghdad.

K. Red Sea- The Red Sea is an inlet of the Indian Ocean that lies between Asia and Africa. It is considered the most saline sea in the world. The Red Sea contains large amounts of blue algae,which gives the sea a reddish-brown appearance, and thus, the name “Red Sea”. Some countries bordering the Red Sea are Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
