As people grow older, we tend to pursue a more meaningful source of fulfillment rather than pure materialistic fulfillment.
Many of those adults found those meaningful fulfillments it in volunteering and serving other people in needs.

According to the National Service website, 23 (23.5) percent of individuals over the age of 65 spend time volunteering. This can be broken into individuals who volunteer for the community at large and those that serve through some religious affiliation.
