Explanation: Offenders who repeat a crime in a manner similar to the previous one, i.e. commit the same type of offense many times are repeat offenders. It can refer to any type of crime, and this term is also used for statistical purposes, by determining the percentage of people who went out of prison and were prone to a particular type of crime. This creates the statistical possibility that ex-prisoners will commit the same crime again, thereby raising caution or some other measure when it comes to such ex-prisoners.
