Movie goers often spend a sizable amount of money in order to view a film and would like to watch it in silence where they can be immersed and enjoy themselves. Loud children will distract from the movie experience and otherwise ruin an activity that adult movie goers have spent money to attend. As a result adults will drown or scowl at children and parents who are being too loud or causing a distraction
