Imagine that you've been hired by a stakeholder group that's working to create change on a civic issue that you care about. In this Culminating Activity, your task will be to create a “how to” guide for supporters, teaching them how to take action on the issue using one of several different methods. Before you begin, however, you will need to know the background information for your chosen issue. Before you begin writing the guide, take some time to answer the questions below:

What is the civic issue you will be working on or helping people with?
Which level of government is responsible for this issue?
What are the two opposing points of view on this issue?
What are the names of some of the stakeholder groups that are involved with the issue and their contact information?
Are there any individuals who might be able to help you to learn more about this issue?
What types of actions have been tried before?
What, if anything, would you say has been successful so far and why?
Next, think back to last activity's discussion about the different methods citizens use to get the attention of the various people including government. Did any of the actions in the list below come up in your discussion? Your task now is to select one of the following forms of action that could be used to try to create change in the issue you've chosen to work on for this activity
Letter to a government official
Letter to the editor of a newspaper
Public service announcement (print)
Public service announcement (video)
Speech
Petition
Political art (any form of art)
Political cartoon
Info graphic
Spoken word poem
Your task is to create a “how-to guide” for your selected form of action. Your guide can be submitted as a written manual, a PowerPoint-style presentation, a website, a podcast, a video, or an info-graphic. Your guide should have at least eight tips or steps, should include links to good examples, and should be written in clear, straightforward language. You will also be required to complete a bibliography for this assignment

Around the third week of a college class, a professor decides she’s had enough, is tired of dealing with bureaucracies, and wants out. so one day, instead of coming to class, she flies to tahiti and sells souvenirs on the beach. if this happened, the college would simply assign a substitute to finish the course. what does this tell you about the nature of the authority wielded by a professor?
