In 1774, Parliament called the actions of the Boston Tea Party “dangerous commotions and insurrections” and responded by closing the Boston Harbor and preventing town meetings in Massachusetts.
Why did the colonists call these two decrees part of the “Intolerable Acts”
and set up a meeting to discuss a response?
