For many years, theorists believed that people stopped growing and changing as they reached middle age. Why is this wrong and how can we prove it?

it depends on which society you are referring to. many civilization performed rituals so the gods would with their growing season but the most well known is that of the aztecs. they would make sacrifices, usually animals, but sometimes humans as well.

it all depends on how long the hours are. i think they wouldn't approve of it. in my opinion.
