Why do factory farms want to keep consumers from knowing about the conditions under which animals are raised and what strategies do they use to keep us in the dark?

the factory farm still want the consumers to know what the products that they are buying contains because due to the fact that they would lose a lot of customers if the farmers showed how the animals are treated
